You should just call them. Also, who did you buy the cover from? they should try to help you resolve this issue as well.

Default Bak Customer Service Day 4

Jimbo:
I don't know who you purchased your cover from, but you should contact your dealer to advocate for you. You have 30 days to return your cover if you believe it is defective. We act as an advocate and interface with Bak customer service for our customers at www.bakfactoryoutlet.com which is why we get very favorable reviews on the forums...we are here both before and after the sale which many of our competitors do not do for their customers. Please send an E-mail to lauren@bakliner.com and copy oscar@bakliner.com with your pics. From my point of view, the leaking looks minimal, but if it bothers you then you need to try and fix the problem or return the cover. I hope this helps you. Morrie at bakfactoryoutlet.com

I ordered my F1 on Feb 26th from autoanything. Installed and after a few hard rain storms here in FL there is only 1 slight leak on the passenger side wheel well. Just a few drops have been found, nothing more and the rain here can be crazy at times. As far as a few people that have posted buffeting and movement in their cover at highway speeds, I drive the FL turnpike 60 miles one way everyday to work at about 75-80 mph and mine is solid as a rock. No buffeting whatsoever.

Wow Julian, that is awesome! I've never heard from a president of a company on a forum before! I will fire off an email tonight as you suggest, and if need be, will call in the afternoon if I get time (had a death in family, funeral tomorrow, and been a busy week). Thanks for standing behind your product, and yes, the Bakflip covers ARE awesome! I love the design, function, and look. After all this gets resolved I will contact a mod here, to see if they can unlock my first post, so I can edit it with the resolution, so folks reading the thread get the whole story, and not just my complaint. Hope to talk to you tomorrow!

Thanks Morrie. I did order it from you, but thought this was a warranty claim, and I assumed that I would be referred to the company anyway. The pictures do show only minimal water in the bed, but it drips in the center on the bed, and both times, the result was from a quick, less than 30 minute shower. I imagine after a large rain ,or all day rain like we often get through the spring/summer, my stuff in the middle of the bed would be soaked. That is why I think there is something defective with this one. I realize all companies have a bad unit here and there, and I don't think these are supposed to leak at the hinges, according to other posters' experiences here. Thanks again, but it sounds like Julian is going to get this rolling for me.

We never refer our customers to the factory without working on their claim. Please shoot me an E-mail at info@bakfactoryoutlet.com, so I can follow up with Julian with your order #, etc. because even Julian needs some of the basic info to follow up and get you a new cover. Next time, try us 1st, because that's part of what we do. I am glad that you now feel like we care.

Wow, I do have to say that I am impressed with the customer service here, from both the manufacturer and the seller, even though I have a different cover.

And this is why I have ordered a Bak. If you have a problem they stand behind their product. A friend of mine purchased a differerent name brand of hard fold cover from a dealer up here in Canada. After the first winter it was delaminating. Company said it wasn't their fault and would not replace. The Dealer where he purchased said cover finally had him upgrade to the Bak for $200.00. Dealer is no longer selling the first line of covers and is promoting Bak.

The leak is the screw in the water channel that holds the clip for the prop rods. Take the screw out and put some RTV on the threads and reinstall.

Any product can have issues...but not many companies have customer service like that!

Hats off to BAK.
