Looks great. No doubt they are great looking covers.
I just hope I can find a way to make mine leak less. I'm scared to see how much water comes in after a full day of rain of an hour or 2 of heavy storms.

Charly from Bak called me today in reply to my emails which I thought was good.
He gave me some suggestions (make sure rails and snug and pushed down good, add some RTV near the front corners etc.) so I'll try those out and see if it helps.
He said if I continue to have issues don't hesitate to contact him again.

I've spoke to Charly at Bak twice now. I've done what he suggested each time.
Today we got a good storm so I went and got in the bed and looking for where water is leaking in.
It is obvious the cover itself is leaking at some of the hinged seal areas.
I've emailed Charly to try to get this resolved. Not sure if I'll try to get a replacement or get a refund and try a whole different cover.
This has been stressful and much more time consuming for a product of this cost.
I've attached pics. In the pics where you can see the rail clamp the water is leaking in from above that from the cover itself.

I'm on my third BAK F1 under warranty. First one leaked, second one faded/deteriorated, third one leaks. The generally accepted theory of customer service is that for everyone one that notes a problem, 26 remain silent.

Having said that, I believe there is some type of rubber expansion/contraction going on because the leaking is inconsistent on my cover but it isn't leaking bad enough for me to go through the hassle of dealing with BAK again and receiving/shipping a cover back. I also believe it is more cost effective for BAK to send you (and everyone else) a new replacement cover under their warranty than it is to redesign the cover (or change manufacturing, materials, and quality control) so it leaks less. Of course we're going to have some leaking around the tailgate and corners, that is expected. The leaking at the folding joints is the design flaw.

In my opinion, you have a 50% chance of getting a new cover that doesn't leak (qualified: as much as your current one). So, if they offer a new cover, be happy. The odds may be in your favor that day of getting one that's better than the one you have now.

I like the cover, I like the concept of the cover, and it has proven very functional and useful. It is a great idea. Would I buy another F1 today ? No, well because, I've had three covers, all with some type of defect. I would definitely consider the RollBak or Roll-X so I'm not totally bashing BAK, they do have some very cool products.

Glad to hear my frustration is not alone! I do think the amount of water I'm getting in from the different areas isn't acceptable.
I know the complete 1 piece covers are not as functional...but at this point I'd rather lose some function to have the bed closer to dry!
Sounds like you had to send your cover back. That seems like it will be a process in itself!

Has it been seen that the Roll Bak and Roll X do better at keeping water out? Maybe I need to try one of those if they will swap my F1 out.

I am so glad i have not had the issue some of you have had.. i knew when i got my new truck i didn't want the hassle of a hard shell cover again and i also knew that with anything else i went with it would not be water proof either. but i felt the F1 was the best use of a cover i had seen for the money and i have been very fortunate that mine only gets a little leak around the tailgate step and every once in a while if its a really really bad rain i might get a drip or two around the front corners of the cover.. i don't keep stuff back there very often but i like the security of being able to lock something up back there out of sight if need be and the rest of the time it just looks really clean. Not too many time i am worried about something getting wet more about the security for me. I sure hope you guys with issues get taken care of.

I have the tailgate step also and overall not really an issue there...I can live with that.
I could also live with some minor water here or there but I think my pics show I'm getting much more water than most.
I too hope I can get it resolved or might have to do with a different brand or different cover completly. There really shouldn't be this much stress/pain for a product of this type of $$

If the Rollbak G2 uses similar rails as all the Bak products...what's to say I don't have a leak/drip at the front corner also if I get one of those!?

Have a G2 for 3+ years. The bungie loops are rusting. The little hooks for the prop up poles have busted.

Never expected it to be water tight but it has. I've had it in SE Texas and FL for extended periods through many monsoon rains.

With all the leake issues this may seem like a crazy question, but can you go on without the drain tubes attached? I have a drop in liner and finding the spot to drill out through the liner and bed may prove difficult....has any one just plugged this holes up? If so what if any issues....thx
