Does ANYONE even check these trucks when they are done being assembled?

They probably do random QC checks at the finish of the assembly line. Maybe pick 1 out of 10 or 20 trucks, and check some basic things. It's too bad they can't go over every truck with a fine tooth comb, because there are a lot of mistakes and oversights.

I know I've been ranting on and on about it lately and I'm sure people are getting tired of hearing about it. But it's stressful, and it seems like this forum is the best place to talk about them..And people ask me about my truck's issues and I get so riled up that I rant on and on. I'll make an effort to shut the hell up unless a new problem arises.
Hopefully, what is posted here eventually gets to Ford Corporate, but they (Ford) better start doing something about it, not just reading about it.
Ford can build a quality truck, the chart below shows that. But the above-average reliability Ford truck is the 3.7 V-6, and the well below average reliability Ford truck is the Ecoboost. Why?
Do you really want to be bragging that at least your truck is better than a Nissan?

Of course, if they hired more QC people, we'd complain because the price goes up.
As far as quality goes, my early build 09 (built late 08) with 95K miles has 2 issues total. The transmission has a weird shift every once in awhile when I pin it and a minor interior squeak. I can't say what it had as far as issues for the PO but I'd assume not much if they kept it as long as they did. Best part: I paid cash for it so I don't have to worry about getting out from underneath it
I will agree about the newest generation entering the workforce as one that's part of that generation. I've worked on our family's place all my life and the work ethic I have would probably be considered average 50 years ago but today it's extremely rare. Even other kids that have grown up in ag like myself have horrible work ethics and that gives me no hope for the rest of the generation. Obviously there are exceptions to every rule but it's not looking good. And I'm going to be dealing with trying to pick out the good ones to hire

I'm a union worker for Ford. I build your rear, and sometimes the front, axles.... everyone makes unions out to be some terrible thing. and its often non union workers saying that.

I don't think Union workers are bad people. I do think they are mostly overpaid for the amount of work that they do at times. This does not apply to all Union workers, just the Auto Industry. I mean how hard is it to insert a head light and throw some badges on a truck? 23.00 an hour worth of what? 25 seconds of labor.

Mass Production will always have quality issues, can Ford improve this yes they can. I see Toyota on top on that list, believe me they are not that good they have quality issues just like everyone else. Ford also produces more than 3 times the amount of full size trucks than Toyota does.

Unions are essentially legal rackets. That's what it has come down to. In very few industries are unions still necessary, at least in America.
