I use valet at the race track, I always tip the kid parking it and tell it to park it out of the way, never had an issue. If we go downtown we take my wifes car, it already has scratches.

I'm much to poor to go someplace with valet parking, but if the issue arose...no. Wouldn't let them touch it. It is surprising how many people do not have the slightest clue or experience driving larger vehicles.

I worked as a valet for several years from high school though college, we never damaged a vehicle and I drove many rides much much nicer than my f150.

Funny. I can't think of a vehicle less interesting to a valet than a F150. It's the most common vehicle in the country not some precious exotic.

It's not that its a run of the mill truck... it's that the valets don't own them so right off the bat they care less about the truck than you do. Therefore, **** can happen.

Indeed, "let's go see how much it can tow before he comes back! "

Bahaha! They are bigger and harder to park but those guys drive for a living, pretty sure they can figure it out.

Yea I guess I'd think twice before handing keys to an 18 year old. I've been to Vegas and other casinos and restaurants but I've only seen older people doing it.

I did too for a few years in college and after. We got to drive a lot of really expensive and exotic cars, and a ton of junkers too. Some of the guys were brutal to the cars, like drifting them all the way to the back lot at one of the places. That guy got caught by the car owner and ended up getting fired for it. Some would take a random car out to pick up dinner every night. Some would steal anything loose in the cars and if there was a cell phone, they'd hang out in the car for awhile and make calls to their friends. Some would line up cars a few streets over and race them or try to max them out on the expressway. Most of the offenders were related to the boss, so we couldn't really say anything, since they wouldn't get in trouble anyway...unless the customer caught them. Quite a few accidents happened in the lots too, since we had to squeeze as many cars in as possible. Bumpers got torn off, sides scraped up, mirrors knocked off, front and rear ends smashed, etc. Yes, our insurance covered the damage, but its still a huge hassle you can avoid by parking your own vehicle. Oh yeah, one of the "cousins" didn't even have a driver's license because of too many DUIs.

I will never a valet take my cars or truck.
