Default Do vinyl decals stick to chrome?

I wanted to get some mudflaps for my truck and I can get some thick rubber ones but they have a stainless plate on the bottom. If I get a vinyl decal cut the right size, will it stick to stainless? I don't want to have chrome on the truck and on those flaps, I don't see screws holding the plate on there. I don't know if I could just remove it.

Chrome and stainless are two different things. Stickers will stick to both, and magnets will not stick to stainless.

Good idea, I never though of doing plastidip. Do I need to tape around the plate or just go ahead and spray?

Ya I should of been more specific. Magnets don't stick to .304 stainless but they do stick to .404 stainless.

I could try that also, do you think all the glue would come off as well?

look at the flap a little closer. I think those plates are just inserted into a slot. Bend the flap a bit and you'll see the seam. Try moving the plate around to see if it will pop out. I've seen these flaps in the store and can buy them bare or get plates with different logos to insert.
