Do any lift brands make front steering knuckles that work with 17" rims?
I purchased the Skyjacker lift because of the rear leafs but hate that it requires 20" rims. I would eventually like to get some stock 17" XLT rims and then run 35s on those. Anyone know of a brand that allows you to run stock 17" rims? I read a review of the Rancho lift where someone stated they were running 17x9 rims, but Rancho says they require a minimum of 18" rims. Maybe this was just a typo or maybe 17s actually work...? Below is the review:
"2011 F150 XLT SCREW 4x4 5.0
I've had this kit on my truck for only 4 days now. As far as I can tell it is an awesome kit. Very well built, rides amazing. Have all 4 corners set to 5, probably going to put the back two shocks to 4. Love it. Really awesome kit. Also the Rancho Kit is actually 5.25 lift for the front and 3.75 lift in the back true. Another thing as well, I am running 17x9 wheels with 4.75 backspacing. They look good with 33s."

That was actually my review. You can run 17x9s with the kit I don't know about stock 17s. I had the XLTs on mine but never test fitted them to see. I still have my old rims and tires so I could see if they fit.
Here are some pics with the lift on.

I was hoping the reviewer would comment here. Thanks!
If you wouldn't mind, could you try a stock 17" rim? If it works, would you be willing to sell them?

Rancho's are actually beefier than Skyjackers from the pictures I have seen. The Tie Rods on Rancho's are just just located lower to allow for use with 17s.
