Default Discount tire scratched my new rims

Got some new 275/60/20 Cooper Zeon LTZs and they are so far so good. The bad part is the tire monkey scratched my rims when he removed the factory installed inside balance weights. These are the weights that are glued to the inside of the rim. He just got a screwdriver and went to town on the weights and scratched my rims pretty good. Discount gave me a number for a company that can "repair" the rim but I have my doubts. If the repair is subpar, I will demand a new rim. The kicker is I even told the guy who checked me out that he better put an experienced guy to do the install because I had a bad feeling something like this would happen. I come to find out the monkey that did my install was "kinda new". Damn it to hell I cant have anything nice.

I've had nothing but bad experiences with Discount Tire. I'm not surprised this happened. Forget about fixing the rims. You should demand new.

And if that doesn't work, throw that wheel through their window.

Same thing happened to a friend recently. Ordered Rims for his Mustang and they scratched them up badly. He raised Hell and they purchased him new rims and gave him a free set of tires. Don't know how often this happens but I wouldn't let it go. Go get you a new set!

Are the scratches visible when the wheels are installed? Do you have pictures?
