Just bought my truck July 1, and I've begun to notice that there's a section of my side mirror that's discolored. At first I assumed it was the heater, but then I checked the passenger side and I don't see it.

I tried to take pictures, but I cannot get one that shows what I am talking about.

I *think* it may be by design because it has a very distinct shape in the outline of the mirror, just smaller, and discolored, like it's slightly tinted or something.

Anyone else have this? My OCD is acting up haha

 

If its the driver side mirror more then likely its an auto dimming mirror and outline your seeing is where it dims at night when light hits it

 

as posted above, if there's an outline on only the driver side mirror it is the auto dimming function. I have the outline on my mirror as well. If you don't have auto dimming, then....I don't know! Haha!

 

I do, I just saw it sticking out starkly compared to the rest of the mirror and I was like wtf is this haha
