Default Disable truck while at a remote site.

Need to park in a remote area for the weekend. Been lots of thieving going on. I want to disable my truck so someone doesn't fire it up and drive away. 09 Lariat 5.4 engine. Don't want to mess with fuse 27 to disable fuel pump. There are enough problems with that already. Haven't done the tsb yet. What else might I do that I can easily reverse without causing problems?

Battery? Thieves aren't going to look under the hood.

Thought about that, but then there is the whole 'relearn' thing. I'm leaning towards pulling #2 relay for the starter, or #8 for the fuel pump. Maybe both. Don't know if there would be any issues with doing that.

Pull the fuel pump fuse. It won't cause any problems. If anything, I think sliding it in and out will keep the contact area clean and prevent any problems.

It's damn tough to steal a PATS equipped vehicles without towing it away. I just don't see how you get around it unless you break the ignition cylinder so you can turn it to to the run position, and bring a IDS/Forcan type device to disable the PATS.

Someone had a 2008 Toyota truck taken last weekend from the same place I'll be parking. I'd be surprised if it didn't have some form of pats.

Leave the truck at home and take a cab or have a friend take you to where you need to depart from.

I'd pull the fuel pump fuse and point a game cam at it.

Funny guy. No, I'm driving up with 2 dogs and a truck full of gear. Not getting dropped off. The parking area is adjacent to a major highway.
