Default Dipstick Difference? 5.0 vs EB

I was checking the oil today in my 5.0 F150 and while looking at the dipstick I noticed a series of numbers and at the end of the numbers the letters "EB" were stamped.

My question is, do the 5.0 and EB share the same dipstick or has someone put the wrong one in my truck?

Thanks,

Colby

They do not share the same engine oil dipstick. Part #s ...
  • BR3Z-6750-A - 5.0L
  • BR3Z-6750-B - 3.5L EcoBoost *shared with the 3.7L V6.
FTR ... The # stamped on the part is an engineering # and can be cross-referenced to the part #.

No (it is not stamped on the dipstick).

If you are worried about the correct dip stick when you change the oil and put the correct amount in by what the Manufacturer (Ford) says, check the oil and that is the correct location for your vehicle. Make a Mark and that is your full mark.
Next oil change do the same thing minus 1 quart and make a mark, that is the add mark.
You can also do in the reverse order to do them at the same time.
