Default Differential Leak

Dropped my Truck off Monday Morning for the Differential leaking. It is now three days later and the dealer still has my truck. Jut got off the phone with them and they will need it for at least another day!!!!

The SR I talked to is not my SR, he can't seem to find the paperwork to tell me what's up and my SR went home!

How long does it take to replace a pinion seal? Or is there something else wrong that they are not telling me about?
I will find out tomorrow I guess!

Pinion seals shouldn't take to long to do if that's what it is. Only an hour job. If it's been in the dealer for 3+ days then it must be something else. Even if they didn't have the parts on hand to do it, they would have been able to get it much sooner than that I would think.

Grr. One more day. Apparently they scraped paint off the bottom of the bed somehow and had to send the truck to the body shop to have that section of the bed repainted!!! Should be ready for pickup tomorrow afternoon!!! At least they admitted and fixed their oops this time.

5 days to replace a pinion seal!!! Is this some type of record?

Picked up the truck, the bottom of it looks like new, they cleaned everything and repainted the bottom of the bed.

Got a new pinion seal and a new Differential cover.
