Default Diff Leak and Warranty Work

Hey Guys,

I just noticed last night that my rear differential, where the driveshaft connects to the diff is leaking. I made an appointment with my ford dealer to get it worked on but I am worried about them trying to blame this on my leveling kit. I have a BDS 2.5 inch spacer in the front, and an add-a-leaf in the rear. Anything I should do? Am I screwed? Does anyone know a mod friendly dealership to go to in western NY?

They would have to prove that's what is causing the leak. Just let them know what you have and you should be ok

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If the dealer you go to currently is friendly you have nothing to worry about it.
Usually happy dealers have happy customers

you changed your pinion angle with the aal, should add shims 3-4 degrees. this is what caused the seal to go bad, easy fix as long as they get the right torque on the crush sleeve for the bearing. they could deny your claim but probably want, just don't say anything. 4wd shops sell shims to rotate front of rear axle up to keep driveshaft angle correct. i have used shims or tapered blocks on every truck i have lifted, even with the aal.
