Dielectric grease question
Just do a Google search and you'll find it has been said many times over by professionals. If they are wrong than that's quite a lot people that should know about it. Reason why Deoxit is used in critical electronics over Dielectric grease. Whether it's possible or not that it inhibits the connection completely isn't what I said. I just said it's possible for it to decrease the connection in so many words.
Apparently you are a big fan of "Deoxit" (sales rep perhaps?) But anyway... if you like the stuff, it does what you want it to do and are happy with it, then AWESOME!
For myself, a former auto mechanic myself (yes, I made my living at it) and on the advice of a 50-year experienced automotive electrician I've known for years (Wayne's Auto Electric of Walnut Creek, CA) -God rest his soul- I will continue to use dielectric grease (or Vaseline in a pinch).

Thanks!
