Did they make a factory BLACK running board for the 09-14 trucks?

We have a 2014 STX at work that has the chrome bars on it. Weird because there isn’t any other chrome on the truck.
Also, in case anyone is interested, there is a related thread that pops up under this one in which someone modified 09-14 brackets to accept 15+ boards. So it can be done.

There are options on every single trim. Plus, lots of people change them. So, can't really generalize.

In 2014 Ford added the STX Sport package option. It came with black running boards, different grille, carpet, black cloth seats and 20 inch wheels. I had them swap to the 18s when I bought mine, didn’t care for the 20 inch wheels. The STX Sport was only available in 2014. Here is mine the day I bought it home. 55,000 miles now, how time flies.

I appreciate all the replies. I ran across a deal on a nice set of all black steps. Guy says they are off of a 16 but the mounting style and pattern where the actual bar attaches to the mounting bracket looks very similar if not the same to my 13. Where the brackets mount to the truck is obviously different. I haven’t had time to install them yet but I’m hoping I can just use my brackets and the new bars. If it’s not a direct fit, I feel confident I can make it work. I’ll update.

Bought a really nice 2013 KING Ranch equiped with factory running boards. I am 75 years old and like to replace them with something that will make entry to the cab easier. Suggestions? Thanks.

You should make your own thread for a different topic. Only the Amp power boards will really help, they have the best positioning for ease of entry. Possibly some nerf bars that have a step area that drops down lower.

That being said, I have decided to simply install spacers to my existing running board brackets. Appears to be a simple fix.
