Default Depressed... Obsessed...

Yesterday I washed my truck after been dirty from snow/rain and all salts on the roads. I see there are several chips on the front bumper and grill. I only have my truck for months after bought it. It's not brand new but 2009 and looked spotless. Now I feel like I'm failed on responsible and take care of. I don't understand how that happened. I don't drive too close behind those cars. I can't take my mind off after saw those chips yesterday. GEEZ

It happens. I simply tell myself "It's a truck, not a Ferrari"

Ha yeah but still! Why it didn't happen to previous owners of my truck. I just don't know how they took care of it well.

Go to autozone or similar and get DUPLICOLOR matching paint pen. It comes with sealer now too.

Dr. Colorchip works great on mine.

It happens and will continue to happen, it's a truck with a huge flat front end, I even think some bugs chip this paint! Lol

Welcome to the world of colormatched front bumpers. Wait till your truck is about 10 years old

Fix the paint then consider a clear bra. If you search the forum you'll find plenty of info.

I had my front end covered in Clearshield film, like 3M stuff, for about $600. It's not cheap. My truck was only a month or two old and had rock chips all over and was making me sick.

reason why i like chrome and unpainted plastic etc, the painted stuff up front looks better but I just ain't interested in the extra maintenance required

out here with all the rocks, sand, and the insane piles of grasshoppers in the summer i'd go crazy trying to keep paint on the front end (got so bad in august the inside of my wheels were packed solid with dead grasshopper/locusts and the whole front end and radiator was crusted so bad the smell came into the cabin...the roads even get slicked by crushed ones)

I will look into these things and try. Clear bra would be nice but expensive since I plan to buy lift and big tires on my truck. So i cant afford pay all. I might think about clear bra later if I ever get paint fixed. Thanks guys

My 2011 FX4 got to that point within the first winter. It got to the point where it looked like bugs were covering the front end in pictures even when it was clean after 2 years unprotected. So when I picked up my 2013, I had a clear-bra put on it before I even signed for it.
