Default Debating Trade

I have a 2011 FX2 3.5 Ecoboost with leather seats etc with 70k miles.. dealer near me has a sterling silver FX4 with same exact features as mine but has 122k miles with a 5.0. Dealer said they would probably do a strait trade with nothing additional. What I am asking would this be a smart move? i mean the long term maitnance of a 5.0 probably a lot better then the Eco

Personally to me it doesn't sound like a good trade. Maybe others can chime in, Good luck.

Long term maintenance? Explain how giving up 50K (and almost doubling your current mileage) miles is going to offset any perceived long term maintenance?

The four wheel drive in that 5.0 might just catch on fire one day too.......

Not a problem in your FX2.

I wouldn't - you're only 30,000 miles away from making your money back on the cost difference between an EB and a 5.0.

Doesn't sound like a smart move to me. I'd sooner have 52k fewer miles and the more expensive engine option. All your really "gaining" is 4x4.

I traded a 11 xlt for a 13 fx4 everyone told me not to trade it wasn't smart. Personally I bet if you looked harder you might find a better deal. But in the end do what will make you happy. I traded and love my fx4. I made sure if I traded it had every option available. Of course now I want a raptor but can't have everything. Good luck

if you are doing it for the 4x4 then mabey. But to do it for the motor is probably not a good idea, i would rather have the one with the fewer miles.
