Default Dealer Installed OEM IBC Questions On 09 F150 FX4

I just purchased an 09 F150 FX4 with the trailer tow pkg. We will be towing our 30' Jayco (9,000 lbs) with it.

After reading other posts here and other sites, it appears the factory IBC can be added quite easily to the vehicle at the dealer level.

I called my dealer and they refused to do it on the basis that there was a memo from Ford stating that it can create ABS issues.

Can someone please provide me with some credible information that either refutes that or confims that.

Thanx in advance!

Tell them to call Don McDougal service mgr at Heller Ford in Escondido, CA. He told me it could not be done, then he
met with Ford Engineer who confirmed that it would work. The F-150 XL (w/ 7 pin toe pkg) is the same truck as the XLT, without the XLT convience package. The harness ts there for the controller behind the cup on the drivers side and then after the controller is installed (easy) then service dept hooks up the truck to the computer and tells the trucks computer that the controller that it is there.
