Default Shifting problem solved!

This happened to me today... I tried driving my 2014 in manual and shifting it via the plus and minus buttons on the handle used to put your truck in gear. Did that and my truck was normal again, tried to drive it in automatic, worked like a charm!

Hope this helped!

I am randomly having this same issue, even after buying a brand new larger battery.

Have you guys disconnected the sensor near the battery? The one that tells the truck to limit charging of the battery for no real reason?

Yes

The first time I had the issue it was plugged in, the second time I had the issue(while at my camp) it was unplugged.

I had the exact same issue after a dead battery. High RPMs, indicator showing 5th gear, slamming into reverse. Dealer wasn’t able to find anything wrong.
