So with only 1400 miles on the NEW truck, I have a quick look under the hood...

Thank You Calgary for your CRAPPY cleaned roads & the unbelievable damage to my radiator fins.

you got burned on that trip. I drove over 600km that day and didnt get one bent fin on my radiator. Got a crap load of bugs on there, but no bent fins.

Gets worse - I live IN TOWN. NO idea where this rad damage came from - no dents on the truck front end, JUST the radiator.... hmmm something not right going on.

Any chance you picked it up like that? That had to be rocks or something harder than bugs, but with out any damage to the front hood/grill, hard to suspect that. I had some pretty big bugs (bees etc) that hit that puppy pretty hard to the point they are deep in the fins, but the fins didn't bend at all.

Hmmmm, I don't remember looking when I saw it new and lifted the hood. Now you got me wondering.

I'll just comb them out first and forget about it - no point stress'in.

at least it's an easy fix. A time consuming one, but easy to do.
