DRLs can be disabled using Forscan. Review the sticky at the top of this sub forum.
Not much help with the aftermarket light issue.

how do you do the switchback turn signals? I have a 2010 and want to put white led lights where the yellow turn signal light is on the headlight. But I know I’ll need it to turn yellow again when engaging turn signal. I don’t know what to look for or how to make them switchback.

The switchbacks are actually a LED light with 2 colors white and amber not sure how they work but they do. finally have mine working the right way and it was just a simple change now i have white for parking lights and amber for turn signals that flash amber-off-amber-off then back to white for parking lights.i use JDM LED's mostly seem to have a better selection . and there prices are not outragous

Here in Canada we've had mandatory daytime running lights for years and for me personally, I've always liked them just for the idea that they make me more visible to approaching drivers.

I've often read on different boards where some Americans don't like them and I'm just curious as to why they don't like them.

I find them to be the opposite. When it's light out, more lights is just more that gets in your eyes. It doesn't make the vehicle more visible, it makes it more likely to blind me slightly. Like the sun and reflections aren't already difficult at times.

You may, but the facts are that DRL saves lives.

That's interesting, I've never noticed them to be bright enough to be a distraction.

From what i have read the DRL's when they come on they are dropped in voltage from 12 volts to 10 volts or even half of the 12 volts to 6 volts . so as not to be such a distraction for other drivers . mostly of what i've seen is that when a lot of drivers with the DRL's is the sometimes dont have auto lights and never turn on the actual light switch and run around without tail lights .
