No dice. When pump kicks out and I try so slow feed more gas spews out on the ground from behind the has filler. Some vent hoses or something. Goes all over my leaf springs onto the ground.
Now to take it to the dealer for a non sealed fuel system. Unless one of you has an explanation I'll buy.
The same thing happens here. Something to do with the capless fill. After the pump clicks off, it is done!!

I would really like a 46 gallon tank but not sure if this one is for the 250/350 model only..
Does anyone have any ideas? I figure it's better than trying to get a factory 36 gallon when I can pay a little more and get this bigger tank in steel!

$15-20 US = 1 10 gal gas can.
1 10 gal gas can = 36 gal. total gas on board.
Also, the 26 gal tank will fit 29 gal+ if you dare.
All in all a fairly simple remedy. Don't get me wrong though, I'm still peeved at Ford for supplying such a puny tank on a 4x4 tow vehicle. Peeved.

I believe that has more to do with the station than your card.

Glad I waited for a 2012 . . . they now have the bigger tank. You have to give Ford credit for listening to customers.

That's odd that the '11 doesn't have the 36gal tank, but 12' does. Is this just for Ecoboost models.
How about my 10' Screw XLT has a 36 gal tank. We went rafting, in which we had to drop off a vehicle to pick us up when done. So i drove out and back which is about 10-12 miles round trip and had about another 7 miles to gas station. Up and down hill for the total 17-20 miles. My needle was getting low so i knew i needed gas. Well on my way back from dropping off a truck (about 7-8 miles my low fuel light came on and started beeping at me. I want to say it was reading 50 miles till empty. Needless to say with about 3 miles to get back to the station it was reading 0 fuel. So i drive about 20 miles where the low fuel say i have 50 and it's at 0 after about 15 miles. That's why I never listen to the computer about miles to empty and average miles per gallon.

It gets better, when i fill up my tank which remember it's on 0 i only get about 30 gallons. Not the 36 my tank is.
