Default Cv joint angles

Ok I know it's been covered, however, I installed fox coilovers to 2.5" lift with rear aal. I realize fords only spin front cv joints when in 4x4. However, the cvs are angled. I looked at buddy's raptor and they are angled from factory. How come fords don't get a differential drop kit. Also anybody torn boots. My buddy is a mechanic and said they are well within operating specs, and as cheap as they are, to not worry. I did install new uca fro icon, so that is no problem, it's mainly my concern over the cv. Btw truck rides and looks awesome. Thanks

So was there a question in there, or just an observation?

Question, Yes. Has anyone been tearing boots with 2.5" levels? Also, is there a differential drop for Fords like other brands? Thanks

Differential drops are much more difficult in the Ford than in other makes, because of the main crossmember. The available lift kits all drop the differential, and to do that they have to cut the main crossmember out.

It's not like in my old Toyota where you just used longer bolts and a spacer to drop the differential about an inch.

As far as CV problems. I did a bunch of research before buying one, and that's one of the reason I bought a Ford. It seems like all of the other makes had a bunch of people reporting CV issues when doing "leveling kits". Whereas I could hardly find a mention of it on here.

Ok thanks sounds good. That would explain why most of the suspension lift kits have you cut the crossmember then.
