Default Custom Tune config.

I plan on pulling the trigger in the next few days on an SCT iTSX tuner from 5 Star Tuning. I was wondering what custom tunes I should be considering. I will definitely be considering the 87 Performance and Economy. I may throw a 93 Performance in for fun.

What other configurations should I look into....custom tune for winter/snow driving could be interesting.

Hi.

Well, this IS a personal choice - only you know how you plan to utilize yer truck.

Do you tow - heavy? Or plan to? If so, spec one tune for 93 Max Tow.

Keep the spread between octanes as great as possible - 87--> 93, else the differences will be marginal.

Also - be advised that dedicated Econo tunes come with consequences you may not like - and in truth a good perf tune, driven conservatively will net about the same savings.

Lastly- the stock tuning will be yer fallback bad-gas / general-purpose low octane tow tune, unless you have mods which require tuning correction. The rest is entirely up to you - you have 5 tunes to populate included in the price.

good luck

I have 5 MPT tunes, i went with all 91 tunes then a 93. I run 93oct all the time and normally drive my 91 perf with the easier chill tranny tune. I feel its too easy to get some bad gas.

Been running the MPT 91 performance tune (race shift) for a couple of weeks now and I love it. I gotta agree with MGD run a performance tune and just mind your foot lol
