I don't think that that EcoBoost is even available in the Raptor at this point.

It's pretty clear what it means, and as I mentioned previously, others have verified with their dealers that no incentives apply to the EcoBoost in their areas. There is no point in arguing about it. If you ordered an EcoBoost and are planning on receiving the same rebates as other engines, you may or may not be in for an expensive shock.

I'm not putting down the EcoBoost at all, but I don't think that it's worth anywhere close to $4250 over the 5.0.

CRAP! I saw this too after it came up for discussion. Well I guess I'll be calling my dealer to see if their computer says the same. I agree the added 4250 of the Ecoboost doest look so good now.

To be more specific, there are two parts of the incentive/offers for my ZIP. Top part (with the picture of the F-150) shows $3500 cash back and specifically excludes EcoBoost and Raptor. This offer expires 02/28.

The bottom part shows $2500 in incentives (trade-in assistance not shown). This offer expires 04/04, and does *not* exclude the EB or Raptor - but does say to see dealer for "complete details."

But the real question is, have those who've gotten an EB so far gotten any / all of the existing rebates?

I am very surprised ford is doing this to the ecoboost. They say production will be majority ecoboost for f150s. I think I read 85-90 percent of the 2011 f150's were planned to be eb. Take away the incentives and take months to get them to the market and everyone will pick the 5.0 over the eb. Just strange to hype it up then financially encourage the 5.0 which is close in performance. Waste of advertising for the eb if you veer everyone to the 5.0 which from what I have read is stronger than ford let's on. Think it's a little more of a match for the eb but I do think practical mileage will be better on the eb in the long run. Avg reports on 5.0 mileage is lower than EPA where I have heard at or more avg mileage in eb. GRANTED there is a lot more data on the 5.0's. Eb people need to drop driving and playing with thier new toys long enough to share info with the rest of the community. Most just say mines here and it drives GREAT. That's it, then they go out driving again (I guess). Eb people we want DETAILS!

I emailed my dealer tonight and got a reply that all rebates still apply in my area for the eco, so I guess the best advice is to contact your dealers.

I'd be stunned if Ecoboost's accounted for anywhere near that amount. My guess is maybe 25% of trucks ordered due to the late availability and it being new and relatively unproven.

I am not sayin it's fact that's what I read and that was back in November before any 2011 f150 was built. Things can always change. I have been following the ecoboost since 2008.

From what I recall, 70+ percent of 2011 F-150s are expected to be 5.0. I have no idea what EcoBoost orders are like, but clearly there are far more 5.0s presently in the channel than EcoBoost.
