Today I used my windshield wipers on the way home and all the sudden they started creaking as soon as they would go to the bottom and come back up it would creak. It sounded like it was in the dash. What the heck could that be.

Sound coming from inside or outside? Could be anything from worn wiper blades, really dirty windshield to mechanical problems with wiper motors. Start troubleshooting the most suspect, easy cost effective fix and go from there.

It sounds behind the dash from the inside or if you go outside you can hear it down below the cowl

My truck does the exact same thing and it only started recently. I am thinking it is the old wiper blades but I am not sure.
