Default Could no longer take it! Changed oil & filter!

I really tried to endure the interval.... But I could not go on without changing the factory load of oil and filter @ 2300ish miles. My '12 EB FX4 got a new Motorcraft FL-500 and 6qts. of Valvoline Synthetic 5W30 motor oil. I know it really had more time that it could stay in there, but I (and my motor) will "feel" better now that it. has been changed. I worked @ a Ford dealer as a driveability tech/forman for 20 plus years, and observed intenal engine parts that had 5-6K oil change intervals performed... I will be performing my oil/filter changes @ 3-4.5K intervals from this point on. I'll ""feel good", and my truck will love me!

I am with you on this. I could not go any longer than 1800 miles on my 13 eco lariat. I change my oil normally at around 3000 to 4000. I used to not go past 3000 but with the new engines and better oil I know it is a waste to do it like that but I cant help it. Bout 4000 is my max now. I also 'feel' better with fresh oil in engine. Plus I have always enjoyed changing my oil, especially in my trucks. wifes cars are a hassle sometimes.

Same her sorta... 4k - 5k max. I just don't drive much so I do mine at 6 months regardless of miles.

I'm keeping my F150 happy and Valvoline too. I made the first change at 1,000 mi., second change at 1,500 mi. (based on time) and third change at 2,500 mi. This is more therapeutic for me than doing yard work! With holiday stress I can feel another oil change coming on.

New motor. 1,000 miles it got changed. Now at 5,000 and it'll get changed. And then again at 10,000 miles.

After that I'll change it when the dash tells me to. Mobil 1 5/20 will go as long as it needs to.
