You sure all those damaged threads weren't from people using antiseize and then overtightening because of the reduced friction?

I;m sure...I remember a ford I think it was a falcon came into the shop with a lot of miles. had the 18mm plugs.. several of them would not come out. period. I think the owner sent him to a dealer..

Well, I'm not sure a Falcon vs a 2013 engine is a good comparison. They may have different parts.

Did mine at 52k, and then at 130k. No issues either time. Probably going to be doing them more frequently now that Ford has dropped the iridium portion. I expect the platinum to wear faster. Had far more creaking issues changing out my kid's 2001 Civic with over 170k (don't know how old the plugs were), which should have had antiseize on them. I put some on those, as recommended by Honda.
