Question Coolant Leak?

I just noticed this when I was changing oil. What is this white substance inside the oil cap? Check yours.

Notice something similar doing my last oil change and that my coolant was a little low...

Normal. ESPECIALLY in cold(er) weather.

It's crankcase condensation and a LOT of it gets sucked-up by the PCV system and burnt-off (unless you've got an oil catch can, in which case a LOT of it gets collected.).

This mostly happens when your truck doesn't reach full operating temperature for an extended period of time. I drive mostly highway (85%) and never get this stuff.

What would worry me is if the coolant gets low (post #2) at the same time, that would definitely not be normal!

Your right, I went to the dealer and they said it's condensation. On the other hand, I did top off my coolant reservoir recently but why does coolant need to be topped off if there is no leak. Evaporation over time?

Same boat mine wasn't terribly low but I topped it off just to get me to summer so I can do a system flush.
