Default Converting from propane back to regular gas

I'm looking at picking up another work van, a 2012 E150 (yeah yeah I know) with the 5.4 in it. I found one I really like for what I think is a screaming deal. It's so cheap because it was converted to run on propane. How expensive and how much of a pain in the *** will it be to rip all the propane stuff out, and switch it back to regular fuel?

Is it "Dedicated" propane or "Dual-Fuel" (propane/gasoline)? If it's dual then it will run on gasoline. There will be a switch to select gasoline/propane/auto. Just switch it to gasoline and leave it there. Or you can remove the propane equipment (observing all safety regulations for your state). You might have to have it professionally removed.

If it's "Dedicated" then you've got a bit more work. It would be best to find out who did the conversion and what equipment was altered.

Getting the LPG equipment out shouldn't be a big deal. You'll have the tank(s), liquid / vapor converter and carburetor to remove. I'm curious as to how the original fuel system was disabled, and how long it's been ( old gas, varnish etc.). Obviously the fuel pump would have to be shut off, and I'd assume the injectors were disabled somehow. I don't think you'd want them running with a dry fuel system. Considering the complexity of disabling the OEM fuel system, I doubt its a dual fuel. Back in the 80's I installed several conversions, both dual fuel and dedicated systems, but they were all carbureted engines and fairly simple jobs. I wonder why the van was converted? Propane is relatively expensive today. Back when I was doing it, propane was 40 cents and gasoline was $1.

So I reciently recived a 1994 that had sat for 10 years or more with one of these kits, problem is when i opend the hood all i could see was a tangled mess of hoses and wires. I got it to crank but it wont start, I want to just use the gas system because prior to my attainment of thois truck someone tried to remove the system and i had from what i could rell was 2 engine wire harnesses, one for the propane, and the origional wire harness, the propane wire harness and been removed halfway and i had alot of hoses that ran to nothing, The only thing i could think to do was try and close off all the propane lines running to the intake to avoid vacume leaks for now as i just want to hear if it will tuen over, Do you have any tips for me as I am lost as what to do next...i plan on flushing all fluids and changing spark pligs and wires along with fuel filter ans shuch but as far on how to obtain a diagram on what hoses go where and etc what do you suggest, P,S, sorry this is my first time ever using Forum for help so bear with me,,,

. You end up converting it back ? I’m in the same boat got a 2012 lpg I want to convert back to fuel. But I’d be getting a new engine cause the current engine has low compression issues
