transmition needed "updated" with a new valve plate in the transmission which makes it clunky. (Never really fixed the problem), yolk spline needs greasing every once in a while when it's suppose to be a sealed fitting, heater core rusted and emptied my coolant reservoir, that god dam spare tire lock seized up and had to get a new one, at 100,000km the transfer case was half empty of oil and was clunking,

When I used to work in a junkyard as a kid you would see 20 year old cars with nearly perfect wheels. No excuse.
Out of the 8 other vehicles ive owned, all older by far, none have had finger grooves in the wheel at all. But my 14 f150 sure does. (at 50k I noticed)

I also drove an 89 pontiac 6000, 93 sunbird SE, 98 Monte Carlo z34, 2002 Grand prix gt, 2001 jeep cherokee, 2002 grand cherokee laredo, 2008 ranger sport 4x4, and 2002 grand cherokee laredo, all in that order, and all with over 200km except the monte, grand prix, and ranger.

I can't seem to find a "master thread" for the blend door actuator issues that these trucks seem to have. Hoping someone here can shed some light.

I recently purchased a 2012 XL (YAY). Anyway, upon startup i hear the clicking/popping sounds from under the dash that cease after about 30 seconds. I have full temp control (not equipped with dual zone), however I only have air movement from the upper dash vents. No floor, and no defrost. I assume this means that there is a different actuator that needs to be replaced. My question is where is this at, and if possible, what is the part needed to replace it.

Thanks!

P.S. Lot's of awesome information on these forums. So glad it exists.

@ weeks ago replaced the broken right side exhaust manifold on my 09 5.4. Also silicone the leaking 3rd brake light and the leaky roof antenna. Gobbed some silicone on the roof rivets and noticed some gaps in the rear window rubber that got it too.

I do have the headliner water marks Leaking from the 3rd brake light on my 2012. Which ford knows about and sells you an updated high mount assembly -__- with some adhesive.
My warranty is close to the end so I figured I would have them address it, found out at the end of the day after they diagnosed it that it wouldn't be covered on my warranty as its water damage. The service writer wanted to charge me 120$ for the "rain simulation test" aka spraying a hose on the window. I got them down to like 50 bucks because they wanted way more than my deductible for the new lenses.
Also I had to have the rear glass replaced because the defrost back there crapped out. Thankfully warranty covered that 1

New SB, grease the yoke 2x's, replaced the junk speakers. I now have a pop/metallic scratching sound, probably from the cab being removed for the new SB, so will get them to check it out, other than that running strong and love to drive it!

They shouldn't have had to pull the cab for a short block replacement....

135,000 and the only issues I've had is some misfires, shaped to NGK plgugs and resolved, fuel pump went bad at 115,000 easy swap and now I've got a leak on the pinion seal on the rear diff (common on Ford trucks) i did buy it used and there was no history available but form the shape of it when i purchased it it wasn't well taken care of and still a solid true taken some TLC but solid as a rock.

2011 4X4 XLT Supercab 3.7L 95K miles - Just replaced blend door actuator (thanks go out to forum members that contributed to "fix" information), rotor warp, leaking third brake light (put caulking on gasket to hopefully stop leaking) and rear window regulator are problems thus far. Previous '97 had warped intake plenum, previous '04 Screw had all 4 window regulators go bad and had power rear window motor go bad. Friends with other makes have their problems as well and I still feel Ford is best truck choice even though I get disappointed with Ford at times.
