I believe is 372xx. Would the dealer even be able to pull any code if it went away? Everybody is saying without the light on they won't get anything.

I have not seen this issue since they replaced the throttle body. Let's hope by me saying this that it won't come back now. 😉

I can't get over all the Winnipeg guys with this issue. Must have the right weather conditions here to stress a problem with something.

Thanks for filling me in, k7Gixxer. I understand where you're coming from. As I'm not a technician, I'm unsure of how everything would unfold. I suggest touching base with them to see what they advise, and getting an appointment scheduled is a great first step. Once you've done that, please send me a private message with your full name, VIN, servicing dealership, and best daytime contact number. I'll send this up to the regional customer service manager for further assistance.

My truck it again on Thursday morning. Had to go to work and couldn't take it in. I work 7 AM to 6 PM, so it is impossible to get it to Ford for service.

I have an appointment at a different dealership than last time for Monday. The last time this happened, Midtown Ford in Winnipeg said there was no code stored. This dealership I will be going to is Parkside Ford. Their service guy told me if I got the wrench then I defiantly will have a code stored in history and no amount of start cycles will clear it. I don't know who to believe because Midtown said I had too many start cycles and the truck cleared the code.

Really hope this can be resolved as I want to take the truck ice fishing to Lake Winnipeg. I do not want issues out there!

So, no surprise, but there was no code stored in history. I let them keep the truck over night to see if it would do the rough idle and wrench this morning. Didn't get really cold last night though.

Their service writer tried to tell me to fill up only at Shell, Petro Canada or Esso and not to use "bulk discount" gas bars. He told me a bunch of stuff about them and, yeah, it is true from what I had heard before. However, I told him I only ever fill at Red River Co-op who has their own refinery and distribution centre and are certified Top Tier Gas. He told me their gas is bad, has water in it, blah blah blah and causes driveability issues. He lumped them in with the bulk discount places. I do not buy that at all. The $300 I get back plus equity in the company every year is great. They are CERTIFIED top tier gas. You can't have crap gas and be CERTIFIED.

It may meet the top tier standards when it leaves the factory but they still could have water in their fuel.

You should throw some isoheat in your tank and run it till its close to empty. Go fuel up at one of the stations he recommended and see what happens.

I've had this exact same thing happen several times with my 2014, 5.0. My truck doesn't have remote start so, that's not the problem. Even though it hasn't happened recently, each time it's happened it was very cold out. I took it to the dealer once, they found no codes.

I threw a can and a half of SeaFoam in after the last time I got the rough idle.

Ok, then you probably dont have a water issue. Have you tried a higher octane fuel?

This situation happened to my truck yesterday morning, I started the truck with my key with the outdoor ambient temperature around -5F. I went in the house for about 3 minutes and when I went outdoors to leave, the truck was idling very roughly. There was a wrench in the box on the instrument cluster and the gas pedal would not increase the idle speed. I turned the truck off, then I re-started it and everything seemed to operate normally. If it happens again, I will get it to the dealer (my truck has 3,150 miles on the clock).
