Default Cold air blowing!

So it's 5* in Jersey this morning on my commute after warming my truck up for 10 minutes and driving for 25 more I felt a cold breeze traveling through the steering column. Now I have not looked under the dash or installed any extra wiring for lights or anything. My question is does Ford use a gasket/ seal or wind brake around the steering column as it goes through the fire wall? My old Tacoma never had any air blowing even after running extra wiring for various lights and accessories through the fire wall gasket.
So did ford leave it out or is my truck just missing the gasket?

There's a huge firewall plug with a factory bundle running through it just infront of your left knee. Open the hood and see if it's in place. It's about 3.5" in diameter.

My truck didn't like the 10*F this morning in VA. I had to cycle the HVAC off and back on to get the heat to kick in after a 5 minute idle and 5 minutes on the road. It's like the computer needed its morning coffee.
