Thanks Alex.

My intent was not for this thread to be specifically about the Boss coils (there's already one), I was hoping that people with either Fox or Icon would chip in as well...

heh, part of the problem is that the icons and Fox are less common on this board.

I did some research on your behalf and saw nothing about coilover conditions after salt.
However I tracked down a few people in snowy locations that you can message and see what their thoughts are
Fox: HCFX2013, Fissues, HuskyKMA, 03Scott, one2nine, twinturbra, truck_yeah,
Bilstein: Robob
Icon:
King:

THere are others out there, but these are the only people that had both the product and a location listed that is known. PM people

Chris'sFX4 has Icon coilovers with the neoprene cover for the winter months. He said they have a special coating but he uses the cover regardless. Maybe he'll chime in.

I think a basic hose down every once and a while through the winter should do the trick.

Thanks for doing that leg work, Torinalth. I did try searching the forum with the same results you found, I didn't think to look up individuals

That may work on the expensive coilovers but it doesn't work on the Bilstein 5100's. I don't have any experience with the Boss's but I hear the coating is similar to the 5100's. I hose the undercarriage off on my Bronco about once a week in the winter and my 5100's looked like poop after a few winters.
