Default Coilover adjustment causing noise

i have searched in and out of this site and having some trouble coming to a conclusion.

I had my 6” BDS coilover adjusted down in order to eliminate the rake I had from the lift install. Now, I’m getting some front end noise that wasn’t there prior to the adjustment. The truck was aligned after the adjustment with a Hunter machine. The shop told me they took out five turns per side. Any ideas what could be causing the creek noise I’m hearing? Seems to be from the driver side if I had to guess. It’s happening upon start or stop like something is shifting due to the change in momentum. I have checked for all clearances between shock mounts, CV, UCA, etc. All bolts are torqued down including the UCA’s.

Separate question, is it normal to have this much damage to the adjustment collar when shocks are adjusted? I’m thinking no

The damage is from them trying to adjust the coil-overs without compressing the spring first or using the proper tools. How bad is the creaking? Some creaking is normal with these coil-overs as there is nothing insulating the metal parts from each other. That being said if you can hear it with the windows up that sounds abnormal to me, I can hear my Fox 2.0s when I'm going slow and hitting bumps with the windows down but nothing is audible with the windows up.

I realize this is a couple years old, but did you Fox coilovers ever quiet down? I recently installed a pair and I'm dealing with a rubbing noise that I can still hear pretty well. Posted about it yesterday.

My noise never changed, just slight creaking that could be heard with the windows down as the metal parts slid against each other, but it was never loud enough to hear it with the windows up.
