I have an 09 F150 supercrew with a 4.6 v8. Whenever i stop or initially accelerate the truck clunks, like the brakes are grabbing or drivetrain is sloppy, or trans is having an issue. anyone else have this and do you know what it is? I had it to the dealer for a day and they don't know.

Had this on my 08. It was the rear end. Took it to the dealer they lubed the slip yoke and it was good.

 

Is yours the 2v or 3V? I guess yours is the 4 speed auto being a 09. Mine is a 2010 2v. I did experience this once when I floored with the a/c on from about 50 mph. Never has done it again.

 

find the TSB for the slip bump issuse. thats what it sounds like to me

 

I agree. I had my clunk issue fixed 9K ago with the thick grease lube and 2 clamps. Knock on wood, all is good! 2010 4.6 3v SCrew.
