Dropped my 2013 FX4 with 5.0 at dealership for service. I have a distinct whining type noise whenever the climate control system is on. If you turn the system off it goes away immediately! My guess is air conditioning compressor. Haven't heard from dealership yet,they gave me a 2014 XLT 4x4 from enterprise for a loaner! Anyone have a similar problem? Truck has 34,000 miles.

Dealership called and said they were going to put a new compressor in on Monday. Kind of surprised it failed with only 35,000 miles.

Have them check the actuators also since you are close to going out of warranty. These can be done costly repairs to replace.
