Default Clicking noise from dash after started.

I hear a loud clicking noise after I start my truck from the dash. I think its an AC vent opening? Just wondering if theres a way to stop it.

Sounds like a blend door actuator. Just did mine and it took about ten hours to change a $60 part. Post a video or do some searching on the actuator to diagnose your problem

It's an actuator, depending on which one it is. Usually the blend door, takes about 2 hours once you get the radio bezel off, depending on year and trim of vehicle.

Yep ten hours. Lots of beer though. Had to take out the center console, both seats, pull the carpet half out, and had a hell of a time just getting the actuator out. My truck is a 10 fx4 w/nav and dual climate control. It was the lower actuator right above the floor.

Can you describe the clicking sound more so I can identify it if I ever come down with it?
Is it a fast or slow click? Steady beat or erratic?

Blend door servo plastic gear is stripped and skipping making the clicking noise. My 2011 was replaced twice under warranty ongoing problem with ford You might check for TSP as Ford is aware of the problem.

It is like once per second, steady... tick tick tick tick tick. You'll realize once you hear it
