Well this morning leaving for work. No clank for the first time in awhile. The noise sounds like a loose u joint but the u joint is tight.

I never heard a clank but I cracked a gasket in the tranny of my last truck. They think it may have been caused by reversing quickly when the transmission was cold. They told me to always inch a head just a little before reversing.

I dont know if this would solve the clank or not, just throwing it out there.
