Default Changing transmission shift points

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the computer shift points on a 2010 F150? The thing has plenty of power but I don't like the way it goes through the gears on hard accelleration from a stop...and even worse on rolling accelleration. I find that if I want to pass someone or avoid a mess getting on the highway...when I step on it, my truck takes about 3-4 seconds of downshifting to get to a passing gear which by that time the opportunity is over or worse than it needs to be. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a way to tap into the computer to adjust this?

Go with a custom programmer. Best gains in power, safer as in is not a general tune, and they can tailor the shifting to your wants. The SCT x3 from VMP or Power Hungry Performance is tops right now for the shifting until Edge can figure out their tuning for the 2010.

are any of these backed by lifetime warranty and won't void our Ford warranties?

The device itself is not backed by a warranty. Whether or not it voids the Ford warranty is really about the dealer and the user.

Below is a previous post of mine regarding the Edge Programmer and the Ford warranty. I've since decided on getting the Edge Insight CTS which only displays information and has no programming capability which is fine for my purposes. That should further insure no warranty issues.

==================================================

I did a follow up this morning and called my dealer's service department. I told them that I was considering purchasing an Edge programmer and wanted to know if by doing so, would there be any warranty issues. They checked with he service manger and told me that as long as I bring my truck to them for service, there would not be any issues and that they support the Edge product. How-ever, they did warn me that if for some reason I had to bring my truck into a different dealer for service, there is the possibility that they would not have the same policy and would void my warranty as they have heard of other dealerships doing so.
