That's why I went for it. I would have bought an FX4 if I was able to get seating for 6 with it. That's why I ended up getting a XLT.

On the column for me. I need the extra seating and there's more cup holders too. Instead of 2 you get 4. And it feels more spacious then the center console style. My sister has the raptor and I feel a little cramped with the center console. It looks more fancy but I work with my truck so I wasn't looking for style I won't functionabillity.

I have the column shifted but if I could've got the center console, I would've. Don't get me wrong, I love having that extra space with the column shifter but I don't really use it. Plus the little storage compartments on the back of the jumpseat is worthless. I came from a 2008 Nissan frontier with a center console shifter. The f150 has way more room than that, so I don't think I'd feel cramped at all. Not to mention it looks nice. Maybe one of these days I'll buy a center console off of someone and replace the jumpseat with it.

Buckets with a locking console provide a nice spot to conceal a handgun

I have the console and love it.

One downside... If you are of the "wide" variety, the seat belt buckle will wear away at the side of the console.
