I have a 2014 FX4 Supercrew with the Sony sound system and I believe the stereo amplifier is going bad. I plan to install the Rockford Fosgate DSR1 and an aftermarket amp. From what I've read, the existing Sony amp is located under the center console. Can anyone give me guidance on how to remove the center console to gain access to the amp?

That's a 2011-12. The front will be different in 2014.

I just put a 14 fx4 center console in my 13 xlt it's pretty easy just go slow you'll see the bolts once the covers are off.

the console is 99% the same from 09-14, they just changed it here and there.

There is 4 bolts on either side of the console on the floor. takes those out.
then on either side of the console under the dash there is trim pieces, just push toward the front and then pull out.
if you follow the flow through down there should be 2 screws holding the trim to the console. take those out.

then you should be able to lift it up enough to replace it. if not. your gonna have to take alot more out including the radio, radio trim etc
