I'm looking for something iphone5 compatible. I need there to be plug access on the bottom. I usually just put mine on the dash in that tray below the windshield but that makes it useless for nav or anything else

go to www.proclipusa.com I think they have the best mounts on the market, not cheap but, they have many options and can be removed without leaving any trace of being mounted to the dash.

I have used the ones that clip in to the air vent, not great.
Not a fan of mechanically mounting anything to the dash or a suction cup to the windscreen.
I got this from Walmart, it adjusts in size, holds my iPhone 5 with a slim cover no problem. It is plastic and is attached by a short piece of aluminium that you can bend to what ever angle and adhered with some 3M tape. So far so good.
The one i had in my last vehicle also stuck on and was made by S-Line, that lasted the 5 years I had it.
Not sure why the pics are rotated. Sorry about that

X2. I used these in my Avalanche for my iPhone 4S w/Otterbox and a navigation/rear backup camera and they worked great. I sold it on eBay after getting my F150 and kniowing I was going to the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Also, my truck has navi and sync so I don't need to see the screen so it usually just stays on my belt. If on a longer trip, it goes in the tray above the navi like you had said.

I thought about getting this for my wife's Camry since she now has my iPhone.

She also currently has a Garmin but I think we should get rid of it and just have her use her iPhone if she needs directions.

Wish i had seen this before i went to Walmart, the Steelie product looks really nice. The benefit of asking I suppose.
I am just wondering if the magnet on the iPhone would get caught up when i put the phone in my pocket..
