CB Radio?
So as I start making my truck my own. I though a CB radio would be cool plus since my friends and I all do a lot of driving together being able to talk to one another the whole trip would be fun. We all have trucks one Chevy, one Dodge, one Ford(Thats me). I'm looking at this plastic piece that runs on top of the bed sides and the bed liner and thinking how am I going to get access to mount the antenna? Anyone have pictures of how they installed there antenna to the bed of the truck?
Do a forum search and you'll find several prior related threads. Mine is in the link below. As to antennas, I have a Leer topper/cap over the bed so installed the mount on passenger corner of rear bumper. Not ideal for central ground plane location but it works fine. Nice thing about my overall installation is no holes drilled, except just one on bumper plastic top cap plus slightly enlarging an existing adjacent hole in the sheetmetal bumper support below.

Some will say CB radios are obsolete. I won't disagree except for purposes you stated as well as off-pavement exploration with other rigs. Although many offroaders (including me) have migrated to HAM radios (mobile or handheld transceivers), CB radios are still the norm.
