Catch can question

Catch can question
Hi, having a 2012 Ecoboost F-150 with 65,000 miles would installing a catch can this late in the game still be beneficial? If so, do you also recommend using a valve / injector cleaner as I've been seeing reports of really dirty and caked on deposits.
Suggestions?

If you have an ecoboost, it is not recommended to use seafoam or the like in the intake. It will burn up the turbos. I have used injector cleaner through the gas tank, but don't dump anything in the intake. I had a can installed for a while until I made a bonehead mistake and am working on getting it reinstalled. It certainly won't hurt anything to add it.

I don't see how seafoam in the intake would damage the turbos. The intake air is post turbo. On the exhaust side, any un-burnt treatment would be mixed with any un-burnt fuel.
I'm sure there's some eleventy page long post somewhere about it.

Well after seeing the videos and reading that reports that Ford doesn't recommend it because the treatment gets too hot for the turbos and will burn them up, I am not willing to be the guinea pig.

Because after it is burnt in the combustion chamber at higher than usual temperatures the very high temp exhaust goes through the exhaust side of the turbo and can cause damage.

Hi! I don't mean to high-jack this thread but I also have a 2012 Ecoboost at 65k miles and was pondering the thought of a catch can. Can you point me in the direction of the one you're looking at? Trying to see what options are out there. Thanks in advance!
