Catch Can Question
Without a catch can does all the "crud" enter through the throttle body or into a valve cover? Asking because I just pulled the intake pipe off my '13 throttle body and it's pretty clean looking.
If the "crud" you are speaking of is the stuff that the catch can is used for it doesn't enter through the throttle body. It enters through the PCV system. It re-enters the engine in the intake behind the throttle body. It ends up on the intake valves and eventually on the tops of the pistons and spark plugs. The only thing that enters through the throttle body is any moisture that may be in the CAC(intercooler). It can get sucked in under boost.
