It has their own plug for their camera and backup sensors, there is a extra hookup for an extra rca video camera, and it has inputs for a dvd player( red, white yellow rca)

Hey racemen, thanks for the info you have provided. I plan on ordering today so the $100 question is what do you think about it. Is the Nav decent? What I have found in screen shots and a couple of short videos say is is similar to Garmin had has decent features. Would like to hear your opinion.
I don't have a factory reverse camera so plan on using a license plate mount so I don't hack up the painted lift gate handle but I did hear somewhere their connection for sensors and camera are unique and not compatable with a standard RCA plug.
I also wonder about the radio and sirius information you get. You know the song titles, radio station information and so on. The current display scrolls and has multiple functions for that and I am curious if the Rosen does the same.
Thanks man .. hope it is working great for you.

The next best solution is Kenwood and the idatalink, but if you get that, no sirius. Like who in their right mind would create a system the eliminates satellite radio? I hear they are fixing it and when they do I will likely give it a shot. Wow .. the threads out there on that mistake are huge!
Last is the PAC interface. It works but has issues too and I didn't like anything about it.
For compatability I think Rosen is probably the best shot. I am ok with trying it for the low cost and not a lot of $$ invested. Upgrading speakers and adding a sub will step it up a notch. I am ok with that. If I want mirrors to rattle and the trunk to buzz, I will drive the wife's car.

I only drove around for a little while last night, but so far I like it. It shows gas stations as they come to you along with side street names and address numbers.
You can use Sync voice the get directions and they show on the map just like a regular gps. Its a little buggy when you use Sync just like the stock one is when you go off route and have to say update route. I'm going to try and use it without Sync today and see if it will recalculate on its own?

You only drill a small hole in tailgate handle. And the camera is angled down so I don't believe you could get it to work right on license plate. Also you can see trailer hitch for hooking up a trailer by your self They are unique but there is and extra rca hookup for a standard camera and DVD inputs if you want to install a player(red, white, yellow) I have paint being delivered next week so I can paint it to match the bezel

You get song and artist and I believe most station id's Works on both Sirius and AM/FM
Backup camera works great in day light I'm going to have to add lights for night because it has no ir like my other camera does. I haven't hooked it up yet maybe tomorrow for the front. Camera comes on when in reverse or you can touch camera on screen and see where you have been or how close the tailgater behind you is.
So far I'm happy with it, looks OEM and all of the Sync and steering wheel controls work. I bought this because I didn't want a GPS on top of the dash and didn't want to add a small screen down by one of the cubby holes and a GPS with video in was more than this cost.
If you want and pictures of any functions post up what you want and Ill get them when wife gets back from the store Jerry

Don't think it is possible to get one that does everything right. Man, I researched the crap out of the Alpine unit before buying the truck for the mustang I had and decided not to bother. Even with the perfect fit there was not a good solution for the steering wheel controls. I like that big screen but not willing to deal with poking buttons on the head unit for functions the steering wheel should do. For that amount of $$ it should pour my coffee in the morning and wash my truck.

Thanks Jerry,
Good information! I thought it was better than Fisher Price lol.
I may give the handle mount a try. Got a place in town that will mix rattle can paint to match the vehicle color code. Small piece to paint and with a little effort should look factory.
It will take a little work to match the bezel in my truck but I found some black brushed metal wrap from 3M that looks close. Looks like the install is a piece of cake.
