Default Car seat in a 13 Super Crew

I installed my daughters forward facing car seat over the weekend, I have to say I have now found the first thing I hate about this truck. The top anchor point is no where near what I expected to find. I actually had to run the strap through the "tether" and hook it in the tether beside it to get the strap tight. What A joke! Why couldn't they have put a metal anchor point like pretty much every other vehicle on the road.

agreed. I also found out the hard way that when i turned my daughters seat around to forward facing the headrest of her seat put a large crease in my headrest. PISSED!

BTW car seats are massive these days, that's the main reason i had to sell my paid off lifted chevy (to fit two car seats in it).

Pic? Mine works out ok, but it is a pain to get it clipped in. I wonder if there's a better way than what I'm currently doing.

I was thrown for a loop the first time I installed the forward facing seat in my truck too. Totally didn't make sense at first to loop through one seat to attach to another. Just seems like another point to potentially fail.

I took my headrests out because I noticed they were doing the same thing.

That strap is more trouble than it's worth for baby seats, but great for the pooch.

I only ran mine through one strap. No problems and I thought it was 100x easier than my Chevy. Wonder if I possibly did it wrong. Will take a look tomorrow. Thanks for posting.

I never used the top strap on my forward facing seats...always just used the latches at the bottom....holds them tight and cleared through all the car seat people. You can also latch three full size seats across the back, the latch hooks for the outside seats can be used for one in the middle...also cleared from car seat installation gurus!

I hear ya on the car seat strap, same thing with my kids seats but oddly enough it says to go to the other strap in the manual. Kinda dumb. Maybe they'll fix for 2014
