My memory is fuzzy but Ford changed the brake calipers from '09 to '10+. There was a limitation on the wheel size with the bigger '10+ calipers but 17" raptor wheels fit, other 17" did not (backspacing?). If you can, test fit to make sure.

My spare is a 18".

04+ have to be a min of 17's. there is maybe 1/2inch of clearence between the caliper and wheels but no issues. i went from 18s factory to raptor wheels and they fit fine.

Just spoke with a local dealership. They said 17s would fit just fine, but I would need to reprogram for the change in tire size. I already have the SCTx4. So I should be good to go.

It's the backspacing you have to get right, the diameter is no problem.

I currently have the stock 18x7.5 +44 FX4 wheels. I would like to install wheels that are 17x9 +25 with 285/70/17s.

believe the stock size on that is 275/65/18. the 285/70/17 are slightly talled and wider over stock. so you wont really notice it.

Yeah, the stock size is 275/65/18. I'm just looking for something that will fill in the wheel well a little more and have better traction on snow, ice, and gravel. I currently do not tow anything. I plan to stay with P rated tires to help avoid adding any more rolling mass than I need to. I have a MPT tunes; so, I should be able to handle any additional weight without turning the truck into a slug.

i went from LT285/70/17 Kanati Mud Hogs to P285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3 and its night and day. almost 40 pounds of rotating mass shed.

if you click my build thread in my sig you can see them on the last page.
