I’m curious about this thing. People have mentioned it and Op wants nothing to do with it.

However in the 3.5 years of short city driving and I’ve never had this alert come on. Even when I park for a bit at work to relax before I go in.

I didn't have any trouble with mine for the first three or so years, then it suddenly started saying "you turned your engine off? Haha! Battery saver time!"

Question

Tried disconnecting BMS cable from batt neg clamp. Forscan scope traces showed a constant minus 2 amp batt current. Reconnected BMS cable, crippled BMS with forscan BCM 726-48-02 (x0xx xxxx xxxx). Everything shows as expected, except batt state of charge (0-5%) currently. Vehicle starts fine, charge volts remain 14.4-14.9 depending on temp. Battery current decreases to 1 amp or less within 15 minutes after start. Checked for key off parasitic drain, less than 0.050 amp after one hour rest. Truck gets 12-16 hours undisturbed rest every night. Question---Does BMS have to be functional to see battery health, or is there another reason this is happening?
Best,
Tom
