Default Can a 2013 5.0 Platinum 4x4 Screw tow a 2015 Platinum 4x4 Screw?

Hey forum,
I own 2 Platinum F-150 4x4 Supercrews. One is a 2013. The other is a 2015. I am moving from Houston to Denver and wanted to tow the 2015 with the 2013. I was going to rent a car hauler which would get all 4 wheels off the ground.

Any thoughts, concerns, etc?

Thanks,
Trey

UHaul's site allows you to put both vehicles in and see what they say.

The issue may be physically getting the truck onto the U-haul trailer. They are narrow so I would physically measure before hand.

I'm going with maybe, it still depends on what your trucks are rated for.

My 2014 4X4 Screw weighs 5900 lbs and is rated to tow 7700 lbs. That leaves 1800 lbs for the trailer and none for cargo in either vehicle. I'd assume the aluminum body on the 2015 is a few hundred pounds lighter, but maybe not. Mine is an XLT, the more options, the more weight and Platinums are loaded up.

You need to figure out exactly how much the 2015 weighs and how much the trailer will weigh before you can say for sure.

Totally understand. I always bring spare vehicles with me, too.

Interesting. Tomorrow, I will try to determine the weights of both vehicles, the width of the truck and the weight of the trailer. I am also curious to know the gear ratios of each truck. Both have 5.0L V8 and both are 4x4.

Thanks for all the help.
